Exposición Jordi Puig Eurostars Monumental 4* Barcelona

This September we have ended a well-deserved vacation and we return to work with well-charged batteries. And the fact is that we resumed the exhibition agenda with a very special one for us, because we were looking forward to seeing the works of our artist Jordi Puig exhibited to the public again. For this occasion, once again, we go hand in hand with the Hotusa group and repeat the location in the modern and centrally located Eurostars Monumental 4* hotel in Barcelona.

As we already told you in our post about the Núria Gussinyer art exhibition in February this year, the Eurostars chain speaks of this hotel as “the place where the Sagrada Familia and the Agbar Tower, the two great watchtowers of Barcelona, cross their intimate dialogues” . You can see this for yourself, either from the suites enjoying unique views of the temple, or discovering the many nods to Gaudí that characterize the hotel's decoration.

It is almost impossible to summarize such an extensive career in the few lines of this post, so we will try to give you a few brushstrokes so that you yourselves will end up learning more about the artist through his work, either by visiting this exhibition or through our website.

Jordi Puig was born into a family of artists who made him discover and experience, from a very young age, his love for the world of art. We could say that this immersion in the world of art began at the hands of his grandfather, Lluís Puig Barella, a Noucentista painter, and his uncle, August Puig, an abstract painter who co-founded the unmistakable group “Dau al Set”. In this way, throughout his formative stage he was surrounded by great artists such as Miró, Manolo Barbié, Olaf Hudtwalcker, Peter More, among others who helped unleash the creativity that was in him.

Starting in 1984, together with his dealer Josefina Niell and with the support of Benjamín Carracedo, he began to hold art exhibitions, making his way in the artistic scene and consecrating his name in Barcelona, a fact that led him to show his work at the Brussels Expo. His work has evolved towards abstraction using acrylic paint imitating the watercolor technique and currently he trusts us, in ArteActual, to move his artworks.

Throughout the art exhibition that we are now sharing, the viewer will be able to find artworks inspired by Vasily Kandinsky, Joan Miró and August Puig. To discover it, all you have to do is go to the Eurostars Monumental 4* in Barcelona before October 28th, since it will be open to the public until then, whether or not you are a hotel guest.

On September 16th, many people joined us at the opening of this art exhibition made up of 12 artworks inspired by Vasily Kandinsky, Joan Miró and August Puig. We are very happy and very grateful for the exquisite treatment of the entire hotel and the Eurostars team in organizing the exhibition and the event to inaugurate it, but above all we want to thank all of you who accompanied us on this evening covering the artist on such a special day. As a picture is worth a thousand words...
