We really wanted to share with you the latest exhibition that has been inaugurated in one of the hotels of the Eurostars Group, the Hotel Áurea Washington Irving 5* in Granada.
At the end of 2021 we have already resumed some of our exhibitions that had to be postponed due to the pandemic, and we want to start this 2022 with optimism and above all by bringing art closer to all of you. For this reason, as a result of the collaboration between ArteActual and the Hotusa Group, we inaugurate this first exhibition of the year in the magical city of Granada, which we are going to talk about here, so that you will want (even more) to come and visit it!
We will start with the place of the exhibition: An emblematic hotel with literary decoration and inspired by the works of the american writer who gives it its name, Washington Irving. The luxury and elegance of all its facilities make it worthy of its five stars, and its privileged location next to the Alhambra complex makes it the ideal hotel for getting to know Granada.
If we thought of a special place to resume our 2022 exhibition schedule, we can't think of a better location than this!
Turning now to talk about the artist who is the protagonist of the exhibition, Chicote CFC is an artist from Madrid whose work has traveled around the globe to be exhibited in countries such as the United States, China, Taiwan, Germany, Italy and France, among others. His artwork has been acquired in a heterogeneous way by very diverse spaces, centers, entities and collections, both public and private, and has numerous publications in various photographic catalogues.
In each artpiece, Chicote presents the combination of the artistic techniques that he masters, giving rise to the Symbiosism that the artist himself defines as the "fusion of photography and painting as well as vision and cognition, always supporting digital environments and with novel themes wrapped under a peculiar sociological study”.
Through the lens of his work, Chicote projects visual metaphors sometimes treated under a pure expressionism that do not explicitly seek to visually identify the chronicle to which they allude. His works, irremediably critical and pointed, highlight the faculty that the human being possesses to result in constructive motivation and destructive relaxation, they do not try at any time to reflect those aspects that exalt human qualities, but to put bandages on their hardships.

In this exhibition you will be able to enjoy a sample of 14 Symbiosism artworks on Fuji Flex Lightjet whose dimensions vary between 50x40cm and 40x40cm. All the works are exhibited framed in white lacquered wood and protected with glass to preserve their highest quality.
